				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>Kapazitätsplanungen sind nicht immer notwendig, insbesondere aber im High-Density Umfeld sinnvoll. Speziell Schulen, Universitäten oder Seminarräume / Besprechungsräume in Unternehmen haben diese Notwendigkeit.</p>
<p>Gut geplante .ax Anlagen legen ihr Hauptaugenmerk auf Kapazität. Das Kriterium des flächendeckenden Empfangs ist ein notwendiges, sagt per se aber noch nichts über die Kapazität aus. Es leuchtet ein, dass ein Accesspoint am Gang evtl. alle 5 umliegenden Klassen mit Signal versorgt, dann aber zu wenig Kapazität hat um in allen Klassen stabiles Arbeiten mit je 20 – 40 Geräten zu ermöglichen.</p>
<p>Kapazität ist weiters abhängig von der verbauten Hardware und der tatsächlichen erreichten Client RSSI. Ein Simulationsmodell berücksichtigt also sowohl Fähigkeiten eines Clients, eines AP’s, eines gängigen Verteilungsprofils der Clients (z.B. 20 Handy’s mit ax Chipsätzen mit 1:1 MIMO, 20 Notebooks mit ac Chipsätzen und 2:2 MIMO und 3 High End Geräten 4:4 MIMO) und der Funknutzung (Art und Intensität der Datenübertragung). Dadurch ergibt sich für eine konkrete Anwendung (digitale Schule) und Gerätezahl die notwendige Kapazität.</p>

Dies dient zur korrekten Einstellung der Anlage in Hinblick auf Signalstärken, Kanäle, Kanalbreiten und Berücksichtigung allfälliger nicht beseitigbarer Störquellen wie Frequenzumrichter oder Hochfrequenz Lesesysteme.</p>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p>Um in großen Hörsälen und Auditorien ein High-Density WLAN mit optimaler Qualität betreiben zu können, ist vielfach der Einsatz von Richtantennen notwendig. Der Client bucht selbstständig auf einem AP mit guter Signalstärke ein. Verwendet man nun ausschließlich omnidirektionale Antennen, erreicht man keine gleichmäßige Verteiler der Clients auf den Accesspoints. Üblicherweise bucht eine statistische relevante Clientzahl am AP ein, der dem Eingang am nächsten ist.</p>
<p>Weiters kommt es dann durch Kollisionen (weil überlasteter Einzelkanal) schnell zu einem Zusammenbruch für eine größere Zahl an Clients, obwohl an sich genug Kapazität im Sinne freier AP-Radio’s vorhanden wäre. Bei der Verwendung von Richtantennen erreicht man im (wesentlich wichtigeren) Downstream eine Funkzellenverkleinerung (damit weniger Interferenz) und „überzeugt“ damit den Client durch die starke Fokussierung des AccessPoint „seinen“ Accesspoint zu wählen und nicht irgendeinen im Hörsaal.</p></div>

<p>Dies bedingt natürlich den Ankauf von Accesspoints mit der Möglichkeit zum Anschluss externer Antennen. Auch ist in diesem Fall die Montageposition nicht frei wählbar, wiewohl auch Lösungen mit Montage an der Außenwand möglich sind und nicht nur Überkopf.</p></div>
